How to play
You don't need to install anything. When a streamer opens the pit, type in their Twitch chat.
1. Join
When the streamer opens the pit, type !join. First come, first served (up to 50 vikings).
Pick your weapon with !join axe, !join sword, !join spear or
!join dane (the two-handed Dane axe) — or just !join for a random one. Changed your mind?
Type it again while the pit is open. Shields and helmets are random (no shield with the Dane axe).
Axe: solid all-rounder · Sword: fastest · Spear: longest reach · Dane axe: slow, huge hits.
Your viking wears your Twitch chat color.
Not fighting? Type !bet @name while the pit is open to predict the winner — anyone can bet,
it's free, and your latest bet counts. Call it right and you earn silver (more when the battle was bigger).
2. Fight (your viking is AI — you give orders)

!heal | Stop and drink mead to restore 30% health. Getting hit interrupts it. |
!where | Lost in the crowd? Your viking's name and ring light up for a few seconds. |
Every command has a chance to work and a cooldown (the streamer can tune both). If it fails, your viking shows "failed!" and you still have to wait out the cooldown — so choose your moment.
Tips: hits from behind do 1.5× damage, face-to-face only 0.75×. Shields block frontal blows. Getting flanked in a crowd is deadly.
3. Fallen? Haunt them.
Defeated vikings become ghosts on the rim of the pit and can still meddle:

Odin's gifts
Now and then Odin drops a gift into the pit — a barrel of mead (heals) or a potion of might (a little extra damage for a while). Vikings nearby race for it; the first to touch it takes it.
Draugr
In a small chat, undead draugr fill the pit. They hunt vikings and wear you down, but they can't finish you off and can't win — when one viewer is left they crumble to dust. Cutting them down earns nothing, so don't let them distract you from your real rivals. Alone in the pit? It's you against the horde (just for fun: solo battles aren't recorded).
Hazards
If a round drags on, the gods grow restless: lightning, falling rocks and fire. A red circle warns you first — but vikings busy fighting don't always notice in time. (Not in Jarl battles — those are chat vs the streamer, nothing else.)
Valhalla
When one viking is left standing, the Valkyries may intervene (the streamer sets the odds). If they do, the would-be winner is taken — and every fallen viking rises at half health to fight again. The last one standing in Valhalla wins.
Jarl battles: everyone vs the streamer
Sometimes the streamer takes the field as a giant Jarl in the middle of the pit, and every viking who
!joins fights on the same side. The Jarl is huge, hits everyone in front of it with one swing and
gets tougher the more vikings join. The streamer can make it roar (stuns everyone close), stomp
(blasts you back) and summon draugr (undead helpers — cut them down or they'll chip at you), and it
grows enraged at half and quarter health. Surround it and strike from behind. Whoever lands the killing blow
is the Jarlslayer (+20 bonus silver). Bet on the Jarlslayer — or !bet on the Jarl itself.
Jarl battles don't change your normal wins, kills or K/D. They have their own records: your Jarls slain (the Jarlslayers leaderboard), and the streamers' wins and losses as the Jarl (Top Jarls).
Awards, silver and titles
After every battle: Most kills, Most damage, Iron Wall (most blocked) and Backstabber. Silver is earned for winning (15), each of the first three awards (10) and correct bets (5 + 1 per viking, up to 55). Spend it in the silver shop on cloaks, hair and helmet styles, weapon skins, victory poses, entrances and name colors — all cosmetic, yours forever. The Most silver leaderboard counts everything you've ever earned, so spending never drops you.
Titles appear next to your name in battle: Veteran (25 battles), Seer (10 correct bets), Iron Wall (5 Iron Wall awards), Berserker (50 kills), Jarl (10 wins), Valkyrie's Chosen (won a Valhalla round), Jarlslayer (felled the streamer's Jarl). Your profile also shows your nemesis — who has killed you most.
Stats
Every game in every channel counts toward your record on this site: wins, losses, kills, deaths and K/D. Search your name on the Hall of Heroes. Want your stats private? Log in on My viking to hide or delete them.
